This reproduction is the same shape and size as the original. It comes with the rubber gasket behind the light. And the screw holes line up with the original.
It also comes with a detachable license plate bracket. If you are using this on a 1960s Airstream, you may want to detach the bracket before installing the light on your trailer to reflect the look of most original installations.
This light is smaller than the other version (VTS-145) we sell, which was used on Airstreams starting in 1969.
In the 1950s Oasis and a few other brands of trailer used a Hollywood D42 license light. It is a larger version of the D52. Reproductions of the D42 are not available from any source. Our larger license light (VTS-145) is closer in size to the D42.
NOTE: The license bracket below the light is just zinc plated. It will rust if you do not spray paint it or otherwise coat it. All chrome should be coated with clear spray lacquer to prevent rusting.
