These stainless steel rivets are much stronger than aluminum pop rivets.

Because of their strength, they were often used by Airstream in the 1950s and 1960s to attach door hinges to the doors. And many small etched nameplates were attached using stainless rivets.

If you are looking for the rivets that attached the Airstream door hinges to the trailer (rather than the door), look at our similar 3/16" stainless rivets.
