Silicone is a no-no because it makes a mess and is nearly impossible to remove. Nothing is more infuriating than removing silicone caulk from a previous owner's "repair."

Our customers have been asking us to find a good silicone caulk remover, and we've finally found it. McKanica Silicone Caulk Remover Gel breaks down 100% silicone caulk for easier removal. It is ideal for removing caulking around on the outside of your trailer, but also on household tubs, showers, ceramic tiles, fiberglass, and most plastics. It can even remove industrial silicone fillers and adhesives.

Get off as much of the silicone as you can before using. Just apply it directly or with a small brush to whatever is left. Let it work for a couple hours. Finally remove the softened silicone with a dry rag or a non-scratching tool like a wooden or plastic scraper.

It is designed for 100% silicone, but it may soften non-silicone caulks, adhesives, fillers, plastics, and rubbers, too.

The gel cleans up with soap and water and has low odor and leaves no residue.

3 ounce squeeze tube is enough to remove approximately 10 feet of 1/4" bead.

...a silicone caulk remover that works! I've tried a half-dozen such products over the past couple of years. Some of them do help a bit. But the this McKanica stuff really does the job. And the wait-for-it-to-work time (2-3 hrs) is shorter than many of the others.
