Description   This 5/16" diameter vinyl bulb seal has a 1/8" wide base.  It is designed to fit in the channel at the top and bottom of many jalousie (louvered) windows to cushion the top and bottom panes as they close against the aluminum frame. Please carefully measure the width of the channel on your window to verify whether this is the correct seal for your window. Price is for one 10-foot length. Works great, but it's a tight install. May 8, 2009 Reviewer: Chris S. from Nampa, ID United States   I was worried at first because the seal comes in a bag all coiled up and it had some "memory creases", but as soon as it was installed, they disappeared.  I found the trick to install this is to cut a pointy shape on the piece that slides in the groove and grip the bulb with pliers and pull.  It's a tight fit, but it will go. Some liquid dishsoap in the groove will help. You'll have to feed it in from the opposite side to make sure it doesn't pop out of the channel. Try not to stretch it too much. Once at the end, pull about an inch past and cut the end off to get rid of the plier marks. I was able to get it in the top and bottom channels. On a long window, you might want a third hand to help feed it along the middle. Was this review helpful to you?

Worked great on all five windows. October 15, 2008 Reviewer: Ginger from Prairie Grove, AR United States   The bulb seal fits very snugly at the bottom of all 5 of my '57 Cardinal windows. Compact Shasta September 18, 2008 Reviewer: Gretchen Lowman from Casar, NC United States   I didn't see exactly what I needed when I was ordering weatherstrip for my 67 compact Shasta so I went with a gut feeling that this just might work.  It did work on the bottoms of the windows with a little extra effort to get it into place it seals great.  The only bad thing is that it will not go in the top of the window.  There is not enough space to get in there to put it in.  Overall it was a good buy, and a lot better than the old stuff that was in there.
