OverviewRegister Early for Best Location!
The 2nd Annual Vermont Vintage Trailer Show will take place on Saturday, August 20th from 10am to 3pm in Montpelier, Vermont. It will draw participants and visitors from far and wide. Last year's show had trailers from 10 states and 2 provinces! And it drew spectators from all over the Northeast.

Montpelier is the hometown of Vintage Trailer Supply and we invite you to exhibit your vintage trailer! We'll be closing off State Street and Langdon Street right in the center of the village and parking our trailers among the shops and restaurants!

Up to 50 select vintage trailers will be on display "open house style" for thousands of fascinated visitors who will be in town for the day. They'll get a peek at 1940s-1970s travel trailers and learn more about these great pieces of American history.

We Want Your Trailer in the Show
We'd like you to put your trailer on display. Are you game? You'll love the atmosphere and you'll love the people. Small town Vermont is a great place to share our passion for our hobby as it enters the mainstream in America. Summer Saturdays in Montpelier are a hive of activity with a popular farmers market and great local shops abuzz with locals and tourists, alike. The Vermont Vintage Trailer Show will take place in the middle of the action. We're guaranteed to be quite the sight!

Because space is so limited in the village, we're accepting no more than 50 trailers for the show. All trailers must be built before 1979. Trailers should be in showable condition. That doesn't mean your trailer is perfect, or even finished. It just means that a visitor would enjoy seeing it inside and out, and that you'd enjoy answering questions about it. If that describes you and your trailer, we want you to come be part of the show.

The Vintage Trailer Show starts at 10am and ends at 3pm. We'll be getting started early parking trailers for a couple hours before the opening of the show. To start the show right, we're hoping you'll join us the night before (Friday) at nearby state park....and that's where the fun will begin. Camping is not required, but is highly encouraged. We've reserved 40 campsites for both Friday and Saturday nights.

Where We are Camping
Camping is limited, but up to 40 Trailer Show registrants will have an opportunity to camp at picturesque Little River State Park in nearby Waterbury, Vermont. Camping for 1 night before the show and 1 night after the show is included in the $50 camping fee.

The nights of camping are:
  • Friday, August 19th (check-in time is 2pm to 5pm)
  • Saturday, August 20th
Checkout is on Sunday morning by 11am.

Saturday will be a busy day because we will all be getting up bright and early and moving our trailers from the State Park to Montpelier for the big show. This is going to take a bit of military precision to get everyone in place early Saturday morning before the public arrives at 10am. For that reason, it is highly recommended that any participants not living nearby arrive and camp with us on Friday. Please arrive between 2 pm and 5 pm. Unless you are staying locally, Saturday arrivals simply won't work.

After the show Saturday afternoon, you can move your trailer to a nearby parking lot and enjoy the afternoon and early evening in beautiful Montpelier. Or, if you prefer, you can head back to Little River State Park immediately for dinner and the evening in your campsite. We recommend you stay in town and enjoy one of the quality restaurants with your new friends!

$50 Registration Fee Includes:
  • Bragging rights that your trailer was part of the second Annual Vermont Vintage Trailer Show!
  • 2 limited-edition Vermont Trailer Show T-Shirts and other assorted goodies!
  • An opportunity to meet VTS Staff in person and ask technical questions throughout the weekend.
  • Eligibility for "People's Choice" awards in a number of categories.

Please see cancellation policy in Special Conditions below.

$40 Camping Fee Includes:

    • Friday, August 19th (check-in time is 2pm to 5pm).

Special Conditions
  • All registrants must have a vintage travel trailer, motor home or camper from 1979 or earlier that you are willing to show hundreds of adoring fans on Saturday August 20th in picturesque downtown Montpelier (Vermont's capital city!).
  • Camping registrants (highly recommended) must arrive at Little River State Park in Waterbury, VT between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Friday August 19th. Directions here.
  • All camping show participants will need to hitch up their trailers at the park and tow them to Montpelier, VT early on the morning of Saturday August 20th so that we can have all trailers in position and ready to show visitors before 10:00 am. (Details will be provided after registration.)
  • At least one adult must stay with your trailer throughout the Trailer Show from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. There will be volunteers available to provide short breaks if necessary.
  • When the show ends at 3:00 pm on Saturday, registrants are free to leave, but we really hope you will stay with us for the next night of camping at Little River State Park. It will be a great chance to swim, kayak or just take day trips out and about in the beautiful area.
  • Dogs are welcome all weekend, but we need to know how many for the campground.
  • Registration is not guaranteed until paid and then confirmed by our staff because this is a very limited opportunity with space for only 40 trailers at the campground and at the show in downtown Montpelier. We will contact you via email after you register to discuss any details we may need prior to confirming. We will also provide you additional details about the event as it draws closer.
  • You will be showing your trailer to hundreds of people on Saturday August 20th so your trailer should be ready to impress! That doesn't mean it needs to be fully restored trailer or a showpiece (heavens no!), but just finished enough that you are happy to show it to visitors who will be curiously poking their heads inside.
  • This year, awnings will be allowed at the show in most show parking locations. However, no free standing awnings will be allowed. Also, for vintage style pole & rope awnings, staking into the pavement is not allowed. (Use 25 pound weights...like sandbags or coolers filled with rocks...instead of stakes)
  • Please, no vending at the show.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY: To guarantee the success of the Show, we have a strict cancellation policy. Full refunds up to July 11th. Partial 50% refunds will be made between July 11th and July 18th. After July 18th, there will be no refunds. We cannot make exceptions to this cancellation policy.
