Made of 6061 aircraft aluminum, this pole is strong, compact and lightweight. It's a great improvement over older poles and poles made with steel tubing.

The three sections allow a total awning height of up to 9'.

It retracts to just 44" for storage.

The two eyes on the side of the top cap allow for ropes to be strung through in more than one direction and left attached to the pole even when the awning is stored away. Some people like this feature while others simply toss a bight over the tip of the pole after the pole is inserted into the vintage awning grommet.

The two eyes can be used for hanging campsite decorations, too!
