If you break the curved side window on a 1970s Airstream, you will need to replace the entire sash frame along with the glass. Glass is not sold separately.
The windows are all 22" tall but come in three different widths.
All sashes come with the side brackets for the ends of your round lift arms, and the striker plates for the latches.
Glass is clear and single pane.
Attention 1969 and 1970 Owners
1969 was the first year for these windows and the 1969 and a few early 1970 Airstreams used a different hinge than the one that comes on this sash. You'll see whether this is the case for your trailer when you receive the new window. If that's the case for you, the hinge from the old sash will need to be transferred to the new. The best way is to
- Remove the old hinge from the old sash
- Remove the new hinge from the new sash
- Put the old hinge back in its mating trim at the top of the window
- Put the new sash in the opening. You may want to shift it up 1/16" of an inch or so to get a good fit with adequate clearances.
- Place the old hinge at the top of the new sash.
- Mark holes
- Remove sash and its part of hinge from the trailer and move to a workbench
- Attach hinge to sash with tubular rivets VTS-3003
