This is the black vinyl insert used on Airstreams starting in 1974.

The 1/2" vinyl insert fits into the belt line extrusion around the middle of the trailer. The 1/2" measurement indicates the amount of insert that you can see when the moulding is installed in the track; its actual overall width is 11/16".

The 1" vinyl insert is used around the bottom between the lower wrap and the side sheet. The 1" measurement indicates the amount of insert that you can see when the molding is installed in the track; its actual overall width is 1-1/8".

Please note: All plastics on the outside of a trailer are susceptible to UV damage. We highly recommend wiping plastic inserts with 303 Aeorspace Protectant once or twice each year. 303 Protectant contains UV inhibitors.
