The 1950s were the GOLDEN AGE of mobile homes and travel trailers, 1956 being the mid year of design, ideas and production.
Manufacturers were slowly producing giant ten-wide mobile homes and trailers up to 60 feet in length on a regular basis. Trailer manufacturers, like automobile manufacturers of the time, were experimenting with their exterior designs: tail-fins, chrome, windows, etc.! The double-decker or 2-story trailer was "in."
The 1956 Yearbook lists most important manufacturers with FLOOR PLANS, EXTERIOR PHOTOS of the models, FEATURES, and SPECS!!!
The two vintage trailer magazines (April and November 1956 issues) are also LOADED with floor plans, ads, how-to-articles, etc.
THIS INFO IS A MUST FOR THOSE THAT ARE RENOVATING THEIR 1956 TRAILER!!!
