Our rockguards come with stainless steel cricket latches (VTS-973) on the bottom to keep them safely latched close when in transit.  Our latches have a secondary catch made of spring metal that prevents accidental unlatching. In some cases, the spring metal secondary catch can come dislodged and may be lost.  If that happens, you can buy a new one.  You may want to keep one extra in your toolbox for emergencies.
