We were lucky to come across thisbroll of new old stock Kaiser Aluminum Shade Screening in green tint color. It was manufactured of 52S (5052 is the modern alloy number) Kaiser Aluminum and then processed to full hard temper.
It is formed from .0085" thick coiled sheet and is 29-3/4" wide.
Kaiser Aluminum Shade Screening was fabricated by feeding long coils of aluminum sheet through a machine containing a drum of knife-edge slitters which cut the sheet into .988" wide slits, spaced 1/1 8" apart. The sheet continued through the machine to the formers which shaped the louvers uniformly to a 17 degree angle. The screen then passed through a continuous spray which applied the alodine coating.
Material like this is no longer available and it is extremely rare to come across unused stock.
We are selling it by the running foot so order only as much as you need. We ill not have more when our roll is gone.
The screen material you get will be dusty. You may need to use compressed air to blow it clean after you get it mounted in your door.
Due to how delicate this material is and that it is cut to length, it cannot be returned. Please order only if you are sure the width works for you.
