In our opinion, this is the best pump for most vintage trailers with toilets or showers. It is quieter, higher quality, and just works better with low flow demand than many other pumps.
We include a quality sediment strainer with every pump. We do this because Shurflo strongly recommends the use of a strainer inline before the pump to protect the pump from sediment. Sediment can damage the pump and void the warranty.
The strainer threads directly onto the pump inlet making installation very easy. The transparent strainer design shows when it is time to clean the bowl. Just screw it off by hand, clean and reassemble.
The strainer is a wonderful gadget, but the pump is the star of the show. You're going to love it. The Revolution Pump offers a unique one-piece diaphragm and internal bypass, assuring long life and high performance in any plumbing system. It also has a built in check valve so that water pressure from pressurized campground water downstream is blocked from flowing further than the pump.
It's designed and constructed by Shurflo for high flow, low noise, no rapid cycling, and high reliability. Truly, it is super quiet and can run dry without damage.
Because of the internal bypass, most systems will not require the purchase of an accumulator tank.
It even has a "green" design for reduction of hazardous waste and power consumption.
We recommend putting all pumps on wall switches too. That way you can just turn it off whenever you know you won't need it. It prevents incidental cycling. Make sure you use a switch rated to at least 8 amps.
