| Price is for one 24-foot length of glazing strip.
This gray rubber strip sheds water and helps hold the glass into the frame on Hehr Hall-Mark 12 windows.
Take a close look at the drawing provided under MORE PHOTOS. It is from the original Hehr catalog and shows the way the bead is used. Your window may have a brittle plastic strip (also shown) instead of a rubber glazing bead. Our rubber bead replaces either version.
The Hall-Mark 12 awning-style window was used by Airstream in model years 1961-1965 only. A stationary form of the window was used in some mid-60s Serro Scotty trailers, too. Other brands may have used this window. For instance, one customer with a 1973 Chinook found it worked perfectly. Please let us know if you know of other brands.
If you own a 1958-1960 Airstream, you probably use a bead with a similar but slightly different profile for a window called the Hehr Clearview. We sell that bead, too. Look very carefully because Airstream was not consistent.
This extrusion is a Vintage Trailer Supply exclusive. It is made of silicone rubber and does not shrink like the old vinyl rubber version (which was the only version available until May 2006).
We also cary the glazing tape used to bed the glass in the frame. And if your window is the awning style, you will need the bulb seal for the backframe. These items are shown in the diagram, too. |
