We offer this weather strip because it has been shown to work well as the door stop gasket on the unique door of a 1963 Airstream.
It is made of EPDM rubber and has an acrylic adhesive on one side for easy peel and stick application.
One 13' length is enough to seal the main door on a 1963 Airstream when applied in the doorway on the stop.
Some customers have reported this works well on 1964 Airstreams, too.
We recommend this as a backup seal and should be accompanied on 1963 Airstreams with VTS-074 on the flange of the door itself.
We have found that VTS-795, our narrow D-seal gasket works for the door within the main door in 1963.
Closed cell EPDM gaskets are extremely resistant to wear, ageing, weather influences, ozone and UV-light. EPDM has outstanding sealing properties in extreme weather conditions and excellent temperature stability in cold climate.
