This kit is used in more than one location on the double step assembly.

• It fastens the bottom end of the flat straight upper support arm to the back edge of the top stop. It passes near the center of the boomerang shaped step bracket. You would need a set on the left and a set on the right; or,
• It fastens the two straight flat hinge arms together where they hinge. Those hinge arms stretch between the front edge of the top step and the front edge of the bottom step. You would need a set on the left and a set on the right.

Included in each kit are four mating parts:

• Hinge Pin - ITM-1180HP
• Socket Screw - ITM-1180AB 
• Wave Washer - ITM-1180WW
• Countersunk Washer - ITM-1180CW

You need one kit for each side of your step in each of the two locations (4 sets in all)
