This rubber glazing seal is used on Hehr Standard windows and other Hehr windows used by many trailer manufacturers in the 1950s and later. It is a silicone rubber replica of original Hehr part number 09-111.
It is installed around the edge of the window's aluminum front frame with one part of the bead slipping between the front frame and the glass. No adhesive is required if glass is snug against the front frame. A small amount of clear silicone sealant can be used to secure it if it comes loose, but is not generally necessary.
Comes in 12-foot, 24-foot or 48-foot continuous length packages.
We offer this item in black or gray to match original colors. Gray was used more often, but black was often seen in the early 1950s. For instance, we've seen the black as original equipment on 1952-55 Airstreams, a 1951 Aljoa and on a 1949 Silver Streak.
We have all our gaskets manufactured with premium silicone rubber so they do not shrink over time like vinyl rubber does.
