Our extruded aluminum front frame channel is a perfect reproduction for of the Hehr part number 142 for Standard model windows with crank operators (Hehr 008-131 and 008-132). It is installed behind the glass with the rounded part toward the glass. It is secured with two 1/2" long #6 pan head sheet metal screws (not included) at each end. The tip of the crank arm rides in the channel and is held in the channel with a nylon friction slider VTS-348. If your gear operator has old rollers in the tip, you can sand them down slightly on the sides to make them a little narrower. They should then work well in this channel.

The channel will come in an 18" length and you can cut it to length for your window. You will need to use a grinder or other cutting tool to remove the channel outer flanges on the top 1" of the channel so that you can insert the friction slider when the channel is mounted in the frame. Simply use another window on your trailer as a model. It is a quick project.
