This hard-to-find version of an ABS tee is essential for many drain waste systems. It is perfect for many all-Valterra systems, and if you are struggling with a broken old white "Thetford Collector," this may be your best way forward.
It has a 3" hub (or socket) on the top. The hub can be solvent welded to the outlet (downstream) side of several of the Thetford 3" waste valves. It can also be applied to 3" spigot style Valterra valve flanges.

The smaller 2" side connection (1-1/2" when using the included adapter) allows gray water to be brought into the tee downstream of the black valve. A 1-1/2" or 2" Valterra gray valve can be installed at that location if you have a gray tank and wish to valve your gray water. If not, you can run your gray pipe straight into the hub.
If you are using a valve on the side, you will start with a 1-1/2" or 2" spigot style Valterra valve flange inserted into the tee. That will create the flange to bolt on the gray valve.
The outlet of the tee is a straight spigot (the same diameter as a standard 3" pipe) to allow connection of either a Thetford or Valterra bayonet. A bayonet is the ring with the nubs that the cap or flexible hose twist-lock onto.
