Many vintage trailers had a long 102" whip antenna mounted to the front and clipped to the side. 102" whip antenna outperforms all coil-type mobile CB antennas by any manufacturer. At 102" (plus 6" of ball and spring), these full-size, ¼-wave antennas offer maximum efficiency in a mobile antenna. Plus, they preserve a great old-school look.
A ball mount on the front of the trailer was the most common type of mounting system for the long whip antenna.
If you're looking for a new high quality ball mount, this is the one to get. Our ball mount and matching barrel spring are both heavy gauge stainless steel rather than lower quality chrome plated steel commonly seen.
Our ball and spring have a 3/8" x 24 thread fitting that is compatible with most 102" whips.
102" whip not included.
Conventional Installation: Use the included cork grommet as a template and scribe the four hole locations (center hole and three mounting holes). Drill a 1-5/16" center hole with a hole saw. Use a 9/32" drill bit for the three mounting holes. More detailed instructions are included with this item.
