Our sturdy aluminum plunger-style door stop easily installs on any trailer to hold the door securely open. This style was commonly seen on many 1960s travel trailers. In many cases, the originals were zinc plated steel so they would rust over time. Our sturdy quality aluminum version will not.

Comes in two lengths:

• The post on our shorter version extends 1-1/4" from the trailer. It stops the door approximately 1-3/4" from the outside trailer wall.
• The post on our longer version extends 2-1/4" from the trailer and stops the door approximately 2-3/4" from the wall.

Please check mounting hole spacing if you are aligning to existing holes.

• The socket mounting holes are 2-1/2" on center. The socket base is 1-7/8" x 3-3/8".
• The post mounting holes are 2" on center. The post base is 1-3/8" x 2-15/16".

Fasteners are not included but 1/4" sheet metal screws will work for many applications.

Installation note: The metal base has an open back. The back of the black rubber insert extends approximately 1/16" beyond the plane of the base bottom. That rubber insert is compressed when the base is mounted to the door or trailer wall. It may be necessary to trim the rubber insert ever so slightly if it does not compress fully.
