This is a special version of a standard Valterra 3" valve.

The unique feature is that instead of having a handle on the end of the valve stem, the stem is drilled through sideways near its end. It is designed to be used with your existing Thetford extension handle or other non-threaded rod attachments.

This is not used with our Valterra extensions. If you need a Valterra extension handle, you would use VTS-799 or VTS-653 with a standard Valterra valve (VTS-640).

Valterra extension handles are designed to be threaded onto the end of the valve rod. Thetford extension handles (which we do not sell), on the other hand, are held onto the end of the rod with a cross pin (like a cotter pin).
