This 7'6" long mill finish aluminum awning rail is correct for vintage trailers using any standard awning, including our vintage rope & pole awning. It is screwed or riveted to the trailer through the rail's flange. The bead or rope on the edge of the awning slides through the rail.
This is flexible enough to form and bend to varying shapes. Recessed mounting face conforms to somewhat uneven surfaces.
The overall width of this awning rail (including the flange) is 1-3/16". There are no holes pre-punched.
Use our 3/4" wide butyl tape under the awning flange. Even with butyl under the flange, we recommend applying a bead of Trempro 635+ sealant along the top finished edge to prevent water from pooling and creeping behind the flange.
