It is installed around the edge of the window's front frame with one part of the bead slipping between the front frame and the glass. No adhesive is required if glass is snug against the front frame. A small amount of clear silicone sealant can be used to secure it if it comes loose.
Comes in 24-foot lengths, so your quantity is the number of 24-foot lengths you need.
We offer this item in black or gray to match original colors. Gray was used more often, but black was often seen in the early 1950s. For instance, we've seen the black as original equipment on 1952-55 Airstreams and on a 1949 Silver Streak.
We have all our gaskets manufactured with silicone rubber so they do not shrink over time like vinyl rubber does.
