It is not an exaggeration to say that Aluminum Pigmented Gutterseal has a cult following. Still known in the industry as Alcoa Gutterseal, Aluminum Pigmented Gutterseal, it is now named just Aluminum Pigmented Gutterseal. It is definitely one of the more difficult trailer restoration products to find because it is designed--as the name suggests--for the aluminum gutter industry.
Unlike Vulkem or Parbond, Gutterseal has a tendency to slightly wick into seams, making it a popular choice for sealing panel lap seams.
5 ounce squeeze tube does not require a caulking gun.
Contains Acetone, Methyl Acetate and Tert-Butyl Acetate.
See the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) here.
Please note: Ply Gem Industries owns the siding division of Alcoa. Ply Gem sells Gutterseal under the names "Mastic Gutterseal" or "Aluminum Pigmented Gutterseal" instead of the Alcoa name. The product has not changed but the name has.
